The Tao of Product Management

Chapter One: The Nameless Path

The product that can be perfectly defined
is not the enduring product.
The vision that can be fully articulated
is not the true vision.

Unformed needs give birth to all solutions;
documented requirements merely reveal the surface.
In moments of pure creation,
unburdened by outcome,
we glimpse the essential nature
beneath all forms.

These two spring from the same source
but differ in nature:
intuition and detachment—the threshold to all understanding.

When the Product Manager dwells in not-knowing,
what must be built reveals itself.
When certainty is claimed,
only documentation multiplies.

The wise Product Manager inhabits the work,
creates without possessing,
invites without demanding,
and ships without clinging.
The cycle completes,
yet the product endures.
